Purple Protea Bouquet

Purple Protea” is a 20x20" stretched canvas created using acrylic paint, gold ink, and oil pastels. 

Proteas are some of the world's oldest flowering bushes, considered exotic plants from South Africa. There are over 1400 varieties of this flower, which can be found in stories from Greek mythology.  

I thought these flowers were so beautiful in how they start out in a cone shape and open to a stunning flower with pointed petals and a delicate center. They resemble pin cushions from another world that symbolize transformation, courage, and diversity.

The painting comes unframed with painted finished sides.  All framed examples are to help you imagine the art in your space. I would suggest a floating tray frame.  If you would like me to arrange this I am more than happy to, just let me know and I will arrange a quote.
